All quotations and estimates are based on visible damage at the time of inspection. They are not a fixed price contract unless expressly stated in writing.
Vehicles involved in accidents may contain hidden, secondary or structural damage not visible during the initial assessment. Additional parts, labour, repairs or calibrations identified during repairs may result in additional charges.
Where practical, Col’s Body Shop will notify the customer and seek approval before proceeding with additional chargeable repairs.
The repair price covers only the authorised repair work. Vehicle detailing and cosmetic cleaning are not included unless specifically stated. Col’s Body Shop will clean repair-related areas as reasonably required. Full detailing, polishing, ceramic coating or other detailing services can be arranged at an additional cost when confirming the booking.
Parts pricing is subject to supplier price changes, freight costs, exchange rate fluctuations and availability.
Disassembly may reveal previous repairs, rust, corrosion, poor workmanship, hidden damage or non-genuine components not visible during estimating. These repairs may incur additional charges.
A minimum 50% deposit is required before commencing private repairs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Full payment is required upon completion and prior to vehicle release unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Col’s Body Shop reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all outstanding amounts have been paid.
Vehicles not collected within three (3) business days of completion notification may incur storage charges of $35.00 per day plus GST.
No warranty is provided on customer supplied parts. Labour relating to customer supplied parts remains chargeable.
Workmanship is warranted in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Warranty excludes previous repairs, corrosion, misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear and customer supplied parts.
Specialist repairs may be subcontracted where required and form part of the repair account.
Pre and post repair scanning, programming and calibration may be required and may incur additional charges.
Col’s Body Shop is not responsible for delays outside its reasonable control, including supplier or manufacturer delays.
Uncollected vehicles may be subject to storage charges and action permitted under NSW legislation.
Customers authorise Col’s Body Shop to photograph vehicles throughout the repair process.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Customers should disconnect or disable dash cameras and recording devices before leaving the vehicle. Col’s Body Shop may disconnect such devices while the vehicle is on-site to protect the privacy of staff, customers and contractors. No responsibility is accepted for recordings not captured during this period.
Customers must remove all personal belongings and valuables before repairs. Col’s Body Shop accepts no responsibility for personal items left in the vehicle. Vehicles must be presented in a clean and hygienic condition. Where excessive dirt, rubbish, mould, pet hair, bodily fluids or contamination prevents safe or efficient repairs, a reasonable cleaning fee may be charged before repairs commence.
Customers should ensure sufficient fuel is available for road testing and calibration. Additional fuel supplied may be charged.
Vehicles must have a serviceable battery. Battery charging or replacement required to complete repairs may incur additional charges.
Modern vehicles may require wheel alignment and ADAS calibration following repairs. These manufacturer-required procedures may incur additional charges where not included in the original estimate.
